Confidence for owners.
Clarity for management.
An additional layer of hotel performance intelligence for management companies. Connect the reporting to the operating story, focus the owner conversation, and keep important issues in view.
Discuss a management-company review →An owner’s independent perspective. An operator’s next tool.
Your team operates the hotel, supports its people, and explains performance to ownership. Thompson Square adds a defined financial and operating review to that work, with a focus on select-service and extended-stay hotels nationwide.
The TS Report helps owners understand results while giving management teams another lens on the evidence behind them. An independent review can support a well-founded explanation, recognize progress, and identify questions that deserve a closer look.
Make independent review part of your owner offering.
A management company can introduce the TS Report as a proactive benefit it provides to ownership: an additional independent view, commissioned before an owner has to request one. It signals a willingness to make performance clear, invite informed questions, and keep attention on issues that matter.
Like a smoke detector, an additional review is valuable for the warning signs it may bring to attention. Here, the signals come from the reporting reviewed at an agreed cadence, with a watchlist to help both sides follow the response.
Extend your analytical capacity.
Access a defined review without adding a dedicated full-time analysis role. We work from existing reporting and relevant supporting detail, connecting financial results to labor and productivity, revenue quality, expense changes, and forecast assumptions.
Give the owner meeting a clearer starting point.
A variance is the beginning of the explanation. We distinguish what the reporting establishes, what remains uncertain, and which follow-up questions would help both sides understand the result. Favorable performance receives the same attention to operating context as an unfavorable variance.
Keep emerging issues in view.
The report identifies watch items within the information reviewed. Where recurring reviews are agreed, follow-up can connect the original issue, management’s response, and the available evidence of progress at the specified cadence. Reports cover an agreed period and documents; they are periodic reviews rather than real-time monitoring.
Start with one hotel and a clear scope.
- Define the review. Agree the property, reporting period, purpose, fees, delivery timing, and report recipients.
- Provide the reporting. Start with the P&L, budget, forecast, and prior-year results, with relevant operating detail requested as needed.
- Use the findings. Receive a concise performance assessment with key drivers, watch items, limitations, and discussion points.
A TS Report costs $1,500 per hotel, per report. Defined portfolio engagements, recurring reviews, and deeper advisory work are scoped separately. Reviews can be completed remotely; any on-site support is arranged separately.
Independent findings. Clear working arrangements.
Owners and management companies can commission a review. Before work begins, we agree the information access, recipients, and any owner-management participation. Who commissions the report does not determine its conclusions: findings reflect the evidence available, including limitations and matters requiring clarification.
The management company retains its operating responsibilities. Thompson Square provides performance interpretation and separately scoped advisory support. The report is not an accounting service, financial audit, or assurance opinion.
